My pet got spayed

dear all members i would like to ask all vets about my dog(female cocker spaniel female) who got spayed on 28 of may 2010 and she was spayed from a different place that is from the right hand stomach area, instead of the normal ones that is right hand side lower back leg.. please check and comment why she is spayed from a from outside instead of inner legs as my vet said it is because she stretches her leg's to relax a lot and we can not take risk and second he said its the new method of doing this operation.....
